Why We Created the Engage with Certification
Independent evaluations have shown that those centers that earn an Engage with Center Certification, experience a cultural shift that can reduce staff turnover by up to 40% and increase staff customer ratings by almost 20%. Additionally, of the thousands of long-term care center staff who have taken the virtual skills training course, 99% said they would recommend it to their peers.
How Long-term Care Centers Earn the Gold, Diamond, and Platinum Level Engage with® Certification
Certified Center status is divided into three progressive levels. All of them require that 80% or more of your staff complete the training and earn the certification for each specific skills training.

An Engage with® Certified Center designation is good for two full years and can be maintained by ensuring 80% of existing staff have been trained in the Engage with® Older Adults Skills Training Core Skills Program.
Gold Level
It all begins with the four-hour Core Skills Training, “What everyone needs to know.” Centers whose staff earn the Core Certification become an Engage with Gold Certified Center.
Diamond Level
Completing the Core Skills Training plus two additional two-hour skills supplements earns the Engage with Diamond Certified Center designation.
Platinum Level
Those centers that have 80% or more of their staff successfully complete our full 14 hour Engage with Older Adults module – the four-hour Core Skills Training plus all 5 two-hour skills supplements – earn our highest level of achievement – the Engage with Platinum Certified Center.
